50 cents is being sued by a woman who claims the rapper threw a microphone on stage and hit her in the face with it.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Bryhana Monegain says she was hit in the face and wrist by a flying microphone thrown by 50 Cent during a concert.
As we reported, a video of the incident surfaced, showing the rapper throwing the microphone into a crowd after becoming frustrated with the sound system. At the time, it didn’t seem like 50 Cent was trying to use the item to hit anyone in particular.
Following the incident, Bryhana was transported to a local hospital in Los Angeles after suffering injuries from the impact. The concert took place at the Crypto.com Arena in LA and Bryhanna is the host of Power 106, a hip-hop station in the area.
50 Cent’s mic throw was caught on video!
“On or about August 30, 2023, [Bryhana] was legitimate on [concert stage] and in the crowd the defendants watched G-Unit and [50 Cent’s] When he realized his microphone wasn’t working, he threw the microphone into a crowded area, causing the microphone to hit [her] face and left wrist, resulting in serious and permanent injuries,” the lawsuit states.
Adding, “Immediately following the incident, she was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Los Angeles General Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, which included, among other things, a concussion, a laceration to her forehead, and pain in her left wrist,” she complained about dizziness, headaches, sensitivity to light and noise and nausea.”

If you’ve heard this story before, it’s because the video went viral and 50 Cent was investigated by authorities for assault. However, prosecutors did not pursue the matter further and passed responsibility to the LA District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors decided he will not be re-evaluated on possible criminal charges as long as he stays out of trouble.
At this time, Monegain says she “continues to suffer from serious injuries and emotional distress.”
