Bobby Shmurda has attempted to clear up his comments about Meek Mill and 50 Cent by claiming he didn’t know there were issues between the pair.
In a since-deleted Instagram post on Monday (April 8), the Brooklyn rapper criticized the music industry’s reaction to producer Lil Rod’s claim that Diddy and Meek have had sex.
Alongside a screenshot of a tweet from Meek angrily shutting down the “sick” allegations and complaining about them “confusing” his 12-year-old son, Bobby wrote: “Sad, but that’s the music industry once the relationship is done, they believe in tarnishing your name.
“The sad thing is it’s a bunch of haters, Meek don’t even know wishing it was true the fact that you can even believe something like that, shows your character that you just listen to anything schmucks.”
He continued: “@meekmill they ain’t go try you they ain’t stupid now they are haters glad to see someone trying to downplay a man feeding his family smh.
“Disgusting thing is that we don’t ever see none of these people spreading these narratives rumors they make the negative false rumors go viral but nothing that’s beneficial to a men’s company, business or community.”
Many people thought that Shmurda was calling out 50 Cent due to the G-Unit leader’s repeated trolling of both Diddy and Meek Mill, as well as the fact that the screenshot of Meek’s tweet appeared to be from 50’s own Instagram page.
In a follow-up post, the “Hot N-gga” hitmaker clarified that he wasn’t criticizing 50 and was unaware that the rap veterans were at odds.
“I love 50 and Meek I didn’t know they had beef,” he wrote. “On my mama I’m really out the industry loop. I don’t pay attention to none of that shit.”
Referencing 50’s aforementioned post taunting Meek over the rumors of him and Diddy being gay, he added: “I thought he was posting it to support Meek Mill. I don’t read Instagram comments you day room n-ggas.”
50 Cent has been taunting Meek Mill ever since the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper appeared to be referenced in a sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy.
In the lawsuit it was claimed a rapper from Philadelphia who used to be in a relationship with Nicki Minaj had engaged in sex with the Bad Boy Records founder.
After the explosive allegation made the rounds, Meek quickly denied that he was gay.
“I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky ass molly … nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy,” he wrote on X. “No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped … woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I’m coming! Lol.
“That’s why I always come around all these industry n-ggas with my real friends. You never catch me around anybody from the industry alone..you can’t even hold a convo without my dawgs stepping in the room it’s been that way … I can’t til yall find out I’m the illest in this shit lol.”
