During a recent interview on Big Boy’s radio show, Busta Rhymes took the time to express his appreciation for 50 Cent for various reasons. The former leader of the New School showed Fif some love during their chat.
In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, Busta commends 50 Cent for inviting them on his Final Lap tour. He describe it as the most unforgettable tour they have ever experienced, highlighting the exceptional aspect of every sold-out arena they performed in.
“Big up to 50 Cent for bringin’ us out there on his Final Lap tour,” he said. “Not only was that probably the most incredible tour that I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on many. I’m saying that because every night, every arena was sold out
He continued: “I’ve never been on a tour for five months. […] My last show was November 21. He’s still on that same tour. 50…that’s one thing. He don’t play with that work.””
Busta recalled a night when he felt breathless after an enticing moment with his partner. This was the trigger for him to start a journey of weight loss and physical fitness .
“I was trying to inhale, and it felt like it wasn’t working. I felt like I was having like an asthma attack — but I don’t have asthma,” he said. “So I walked out of the bedroom and went into the living room, and I was forcing myself to inhale, to relax.”

The Final Lap Tour marked American rapper 50 Cent’s celebration of the 20th anniversary of his debut album, “Get Rich or Die Trying.” With nearly 50 dates spanning North America, the UK, and Europe, the tour featured Busta Rhymes as a consistent presence alongside 50 Cent throughout. During the tour, 50 Cent performed a selection of his greatest hits and tracks he hadn’t performed live in decades. Busta Rhymes, a long-time friend to 50 Cent, stayed on stage with him through the tour.
