Who is the person known as Terry “Southwest Tee” Flenory?
Terry was born on January 10, 1970, as the middle child of Lucille and Charles Flenory in a tight-knit household. He later became friends with his elder brother Demetrius “Big Medown” Edward, who had a caring younger sister named Nicole. They were particularly protective since she was born in 1974 at age 4 and 6, respectively. They started their own drug trade while still in high school and went by the name 50 Boyz in the 1980s.
The brothers were not entirely unaware that the Black Mafia Family would come from Demetrius and Terry’s business acumen. They were quickly thriving and had established strong relationships with the Mexican cartel, a substantial receiving center in Los Angeles, and a significant distribution center in Atlanta by 2000. While Southwest Tee handled all of the operations in California, while Big Meech ran Georgia, they equally distributed the workload of at least 11 other states.
After Demetrius founded BMF Entertainment as a means of monetizing drug money in the early 2000s, the organization’s success proved unfavorable. This resulted in Demetrius establishing a true promoter for various hip-hop performers and a record label for the upcoming Bleu DaVinci. This brother living in such a posh environment in the public eye without realizing his brother’s true status as a larderer, which Terry felt was not getting the attention – from being the right way.
The duo’s conflict caused by their divergent strategies, and as the DEA intervened, the Flenorys were investigated by the DEA and provided more evidence for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and launder money. Ultimately, they were charged with possession with intent, possession with intent, and several other charges in the fall of 2005.
Terry and his older brother were apprehended in St. Louis, Missouri, and later a raid of his residence discovered munitions, people in hiding, and marijuana. While his brother was arrested in a suburb near Dallas, Texas, with marijuana, members of a gang, and luxury cars, Terry and his older brother were later sentenced in September 2008 to 30 years in a federal prison for operating a continuing criminal activity.

Terry’s compassionate discharge under supervision on May 5, 2020, was in contrast to his 30-year prison sentence. He was released to home confinement despite the fact that his inmate had not changed his ways and had genuine health issues, as well as low-risk factors. His brother Demetrius was denied release under the same guidelines by a federal judge due to his inmate’s disciplinary records.
Terry “Southwest Tee” Flenory is currently at the Detroit Reentry Center (RRM) at the age of 54, where he can spend time with family and friends while also socializing with hip-hop artists. While his social media accounts are a strong indicator of his imminent release on August 17, 2025, he seems to be unnoticed by his old friend, given that he has been using the hashtag #FreeBigMeech on multiple occasions in recent times.
