The television personality shares his four kids with wife Siri Pinter
Carson Daly’s son is hitting a major milestone!
While chatting with PEOPLE at Today‘s eclipse viewing at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday, April 10, the dad of four shared that his son Jackson, 15, has been learning how to drive.
“My teenager is 15. He’s starting to drive, so that’s been kind of crazy,” Daly says. “I have a pickup truck, so he drives my truck. It’s going great. He’s a really good driver.”
Daly shares that it’s been relatively easy teaching his son to drive and adds that there haven’t been any mishaps — yet.
“We’re just [doing] little stuff right now,” Daly says. “He’s got some time. Because in New York you don’t get your license [until] you’re 17, which is crazy to me. But 17.”

Daly shares his four kids — son Jackson and daughters Etta, 11, London, 9, and Goldie, 3 — with wife Siri.
In August, Jackson sat down with LL Cool J to talk about the 50th anniversary of hip-hop on an episode of NBC Nightly News: Kids Edition.
Later, Jackson looked back at his conversation with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, noting, “He’s intimidating. He’s buff. He’s a big guy. I’m not the biggest.”
“But once I started talking to him, he’s the nicest guy,” the teen shared of LL Cool J. “And he just loves hip-hop, so I’m excited to listen to the new album.”
“It has, it has. I think you have to be the change you wish to see. Is there room for more? Yes, we know that. Is there room to talk about topics? Yes, there is. At the same time, that’s why I made a new record, to make that contribution.”
In November, Daly shared a sweet photo with his entire family as they all attended a New York Islanders game together.
Daly stood on the left, draping one arm around his son and standing behind his daughters. His wife stood on the other side of his son and had one hand on the couple’s youngest daughter.
“Special night @ubsarena watching @ny_islanders & Cal Clutterbuck celebrate game #1000 honor with his family on the ice. Kudos to the all time @nhl hits leader! 💪🏼👏🏻🍺,” Daly captioned his photo.
