The renowned Dead & Company have recently declared plans to run six additional shows as part of their “Dead Forever — Live at The Sphere” project that premiered on May 15. The newly confirmed show dates are set for August 1-3 and 8-10, successfully summing up to a total of 30 shows thus far in their commercial residency.

This unique series of shows has been a radical artistic immersion from the outset. The first six shows, a thrilling spectacle that wrapped on May 26, captured the fascination of dedicated Deadheads through hypnotic animations and a surreal simulation of the Sphere’s soaring through the expanse from San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district.

For eager fans looking to partake in the upcoming experience, tickets will be available and open to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday. Interestingly enough, tickets begin at the modest price of $145, inclusive of taxes and fees. For early bird enthusiasts, a presale opportunity will be provided via Dead & Company’s website starting as early as Thursday, at the same 10 a.m. timeframe.

Shifting gears to another pillar of the music industry, the original lineup of Jane’s Addiction is gearing up to reunite for the first time in over a decade. Singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Pearcy are set to commence a 25-city US tour on Aug. 9, inaugurating their grand journey from BleauLive at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Interestingly, this reunion marks Eric Avery’s return to the band following his exit 12 years earlier. However, Dave Navarro will be making a fresh appearance after absences on previous dates, allegedly due to a protracted bout with long COVID. Incidentally, the group had their first stage reunion on May 23, in what can only be described as a cozy pre-tour gig at London’s Roundhouse.

As for tickets sales for Jane’s Addiction tour, they go live to the public on Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m., a joint venture with co-headliner Love and Rockets.

In other news, hip-hop luminary Cardi B has recently attracted attention after a social media video of her May 25 performance at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas was maliciously narrated by ‘fans’ who took issue with her body image. In response, Cardi B adopted an approach of self-celebration and love, posting a viral video to X/Twitter where she can be seen casually enjoying a large breakfast, unbothered by the negativity.

Last but not least, Ice Cube has announced his upcoming Las Vegas concert scheduled for Sept.20. Interestingly, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member plans on giving the Strip a miss this time in favor of a refreshing change of scenery at the pool at the M Resort in Henderson, Nev. Tickets for this off-the-beaten-path show will be available on Friday, with prices beginning at a reasonable $45 sans taxes and fees.
