In an effort to get their player Andrew Drummond voted in to represent them in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game, the Detroit Pistons are pulling out the stops. Last night (Jan. 5), the team’s Twitter took it to new heights with the help of Drake, Future and President Barack Obama.
Through the power of the supercut, the POTUS raps the lyrics to “Jumpman,” complete with saying “WOO!” and even changing “Jumpman” to “Drummond” (they must really want him to play). It’s more than fitting for Mr. President to spit this particular song; this year’s All-Star Game takes place in Drake’s home of Toronto.
The Pistons have been fusing hip hop and basketball in their recent campaigns, tapping Eminem and Big Sean for their “The Longest Oop” project earlier in the season. Hopefully their efforts are rewarded with the chance for Drummond to play.
