DJ Paul is finally setting the record straight about Three 6 Mafia and all those Satanism rumors. For years, people have been questioning the group’s name, especially with the “666” in it, thinking it was all about devil worship. In a recent interview, Paul was asked if the group was really into Satanism because of the “666” in their name.

While he admitted the “Triple 6 Mafia” name did come from that, he quickly cleared things up. He said it was never meant to be some devil worship thing—it just sounded cool, so he sampled the phrase in a song, and it caught on. But it wasn’t even the group’s official name at first. DJ Paul also addressed the rumors about Lord Infamous, who was said to have dabbled in Satanism. He shut those down too, saying it wasn’t true. Paul explained that Lord Infamous was just high when he made those comments, and people took them way out of context.

Basically, DJ Paul is telling everyone that Three 6 Mafia was never about promoting Satanism. It was always about making raw, hard-hitting music that spoke to their fans. He’s putting those rumors to rest and letting everyone know that the group’s legacy is built on real talent, not dark rituals

Three 6 Mafia, straight outta Memphis, changed the game with their gritty, dark style that defined southern rap. Their debut, Mystic Stylez (1995), set the tone, with raw beats and horrorcore vibes. Albums like Chapter 2: World Domination (1997) and When the Smoke Clears (2000) kept the streets bumping. They even took home an Oscar in 2006 for “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp.” Three 6’s legacy? Iconic, no question.
