Eminem has denied he’s gay, saying he was “joking” when he said he used the dating app, Grindr.
The rapper had sparked huge speculation after being quizzed about his dating life, where he appeared to admit he was gay after saying he used the gay dating app to meet people.
But a rep from Universal, the label the hip-hop artist is signed to, has now told Jezebel’s The Muse that the comment was simply said in jest.
“I’m confirming that he was joking about using both Tinder and Grindr,” the publication reported.
Eminem, who has just released a new album, Revival, had fuelled the rumours when he opened up about his dating life with Vulture.
“Since my divorce, I’ve had a few dates and nothing’s panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public,” he said. “Dating’s just not where I’m at lately.”
He then went on to admit using Tinder, before adding, “And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs.”
Despite his seemingly huge revelation, the journalist didn’t question his response leading to huge questions as to whether or not Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – had just openly admitted he likes men.
Fans took to social media to express their confusion over the matter.
So Eminem drops casually in an interview he uses Grindr as well as Tinder. That’s one way to let the world know I guess.

The comments were even more eyebrow raising as Eminem, 45, has previously rapped about his heterosexuality in his songs.
His lyrics in My Name Is when I said, “My English teacher wanted to have sex in junior high. The only problem was my English teacher was a guy.”
He has been divorced twice from Kim Scott, the mum of his daughter Hailie.
