This upcoming Monday will mark a decade since J. Cole put out his third album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The rapper has been doing a lot of celebrating and reminiscing recently with putting up his early mixtapes on streaming and his Inevitable audio series, and now he’s celebrating what many consider to be his best album.
J. Cole is putting out two new versions of 2014FHD, each with four new songs each from sessions that didn’t make the album. People have started receiving one of the vinyl and so we’re treated to rips of four of the songs.
Check them out below and stay tuned for the other batch from the other vinyl/ These are for the fans of Cole as a storyteller. They’re incredible but you can understand how they didn’t fit into the concept of the album. Fans are noticing that ‘Die Together’ features Cole rapping from the perspective of the same person from the 4 Your Eyez Only album concept.
