Jennifer Lopez wished Ben Affleck a Happy Father’s Day with a sweet message shared to her Instagram Story on Sunday (June 16) amid continued divorce speculation. The “On The Floor” artist posted a black and white photo of Affleck in his younger years with the caption, “Our Hero, Happy Father’s Day,” as seen on Page Six.
Rumors that Lopez and the Argo star were experiencing issues within their marriage began swirling after the pair were not seen publicly together for a few months. The couple had been spotted without their wedding rings on a few occasions, and in May, Lopez liked an Instagram post that said “you can’t build a relationship with someone who is disconnected from themselves.”
As divorce speculations grew, Affleck was seen on the set of The Accountant 2 without his wedding band once again (also in May). Then, just last week, Lopez was spotted wearing her ring, silencing assumptions of a possible split as she and Affleck put their $60 million home up for sale.
Later that day, the Maid in Manhattan alum went out to dinner with her ring on, making it visible to the public that she was wearing the precious wedding hardware as she enjoyed a meal with friends.
While Lopez and Affleck have yet to shut down rumors of an alleged split, Affleck’s ex, Jennifer Garner, revealed that Lopez just wants the best for Affleck, and strives to help him be “the best dad possible” for children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
