Kim Zolciak ordered to pay $2.5K Target bill amid messy divorce

Kim Zolciak, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, has been ordered by a judge to pay off a significant Target bill. Thus, adding to her ongoing financial troubles amid her contentious divorce from Kroy Biermann.

Court Documents and Financial Troubles

In court documents obtained by In Touch, Zolciak was mandated to settle a $2,482.24 bill owed to Target National Bank. The documents reveal that Kim has “failed, neglected and refused” to make payments. As a result, her last contribution was $500. Also, that posted in September 2022. She is also required to cover legal fees amounting to over $130. Due to her failure to respond to the complaint, the judge ruled in favor of Target National Bank.

This ruling is the latest in a series of financial woes for Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. In October 2022, the couple faced foreclosure on their Georgia mansion after failing to repay a $300,000 loan. Although they managed to avoid the sale with a last-minute deal in March 2023, their financial troubles persisted.

Kim and Kroy Biermann’s Divorce

In May 2023, Biermann filed for divorce, describing their marriage as “irretrievably broken.” In addition, he’s seeking full custody of their minor children. Shortly after, it was revealed that the couple owed $1.1 million to the IRS in unpaid taxes, penalties, and interest, along with $15,000 to the state of Georgia.

Their financial distress did not end there. Despite a brief reconciliation, Biermann refiled for divorce in August 2023, citing Kim’s “reckless spending habits and love for online gambling” as significant contributors to their financial decline. Legal documents show the couple also faced lawsuits for unpaid debts, including a $400,000 lawsuit from BMW for unpaid car notes and a claim from Capital One/Saks for a line of credit issued by a Bahamian casino.

As their financial and legal battles continue, Biermann has requested court permission to sell their $3 million mansion. Thus, emphasizing that it is their only asset and foreclosure is once again looming. This latest court order to pay the Target bill further compounds Zolciak’s financial challenges.
