Lauren London honors Nipsey Hussle five years after passing
Easter Sunday officially marked the 5-year anniversary of the death of the legendary west coast rapper, Nipsey Hussle. At the time, he was shot and killed in front of his The Marathon clothing store, in his hometown of Los Angeles.
Furthermore, Nipsey’s girlfriend at the time, Lauren London, also went on to post a heartfelt tribute to him, on Sunday afternoon. Here, this post included a photo of Nipsey, as he wore a Puma jacket that he collaborated on.
“If you know me. You know March is always tough for me. 31 days of holding my breath.. This day decided to fall on Easter Sunday this 2024. Interesting….considering your name#GodWillRise. Energy never dies…. I love you. Eternal.”
Lauren and Nipsey had been dating since 2013, up until his death. The two were up and down in the relationship, but did go on to have a son together, who is now six-years-old.
Prior to Nipsey’s passing, he was nominated for Best Rap Album, at the 2019 Grammys. That was for his 2018 “Victory Lap” album, which initially debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.
