AllHipHop: Mr. Ncredible, Nick Cannon, how you doing today, my brother?
Nick Cannon: Talking about I’m good, man. How you been OG?
AllHipHop: Good. Good, man. So congratulations on the new show, “Nick Cannon’s Big Drive.”
Nick Cannon: I feel like we’ve done this so many times on the various things.
AllHipHop: I know, I know. Definitely.
Nick Cannon: Good luck charm again. We rocking.
AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s what’s up. So first things first, I’m going to give you a few quick questions. First of all, what was your first car?
Nick Cannon: My first car that I owned and it actually operated was my mom’s old school, 325 1987 BMW.
AllHipHop: Okay, okay. Okay. It ran though.
Nick Cannon:
It wasn’t too shabby for driving to school and for you know…
AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s a nice way to go to school.
Nick Cannon: It wasn’t nothing to new, but it was still a BMW.
AllHipHop: What was your favorite car? Or rather the one you own now? What’s your favorite car now?
Nick Cannon: Oh man. Probably the one I drive every day that I pick my kids up in is a monster truck that I built, all blacked out Tundra. We got like [inaudible], custom and incredible. Got the snorkel grill. It looked like apocalyptic vibes pulling up to the PTA meetings.
AllHipHop: Okay, that was kind of my next question. What type of car, so that’s kind of the type of car you like those big [trucks] or do you have another one? Is that more functional though?
Nick Cannon: Yeah, honestly, because even how the weather’s been in lately and stuff. And my kids, they be tearing s### up. So it is like you want that car that is all-purpose, but still cool. You know what I mean? Clearly I got the sports cars and the Rolls Royces and my classic cars, but there’s nothing, you could get something to move around, but it’s still fly. But I still like to stand out, but I like to be safe and then at the same time, it’s practical for the family.
AllHipHop: What about a dream car, maybe one you don’t have?
Nick Cannon: That’s a good … Dream. Probably… We here in the Peterson Museum right now, there’s some stuff in here that’s next level. So I thought I had my dream cars and then you go, you walk through this museum, they got Phantoms from 1934. They got Bugattis from [back in the day], I didn’t even know they was old. I felt like Bugatti just came out when Future was singing about it, but they got Bugattis the 1930s or something like that. So yeah, man, I’m a lover of classic cars, so I’m probably even for season two of “Big Drive,” I have a Lincoln Continental 1962 that we going to try to convert over to electric.
AllHipHop: Word, word.
Nick Cannon: I might kind of fly to bring the two worlds together. So that would definitely be a dream car, we could put lid off to where I could take an old school classic, a Lincoln Continental and make it electric.
AllHipHop: Nice. So you are already looking at season two. That’s what’s up.
Nick Cannon: You know me, I’m always thinking forward. You got to speak into existence. That big drive energy.
AllHipHop: Mike Tyson is on there. That’s my favorite fighter. There’s a lot of greats of course, but Mike’s my favorite. Driving with him, was there off camera talk? Did he give you any tips, any wisdom, any nuggets?
Nick Cannon: Man, not only is that my favorite fighter, but probably one of my favorite people on this planet, man, that dude’s a titan. It’s just so brilliant the way his mind works. All that he’s been through and overcome, just the resiliency, the compassion that he has. He’s a warrior, but at the same time, man, he has such a big heart. So he was dropping. He’s philosophical with his gems, you know what I mean? He’ll say something and now you thinking about it all night. So definitely riding with Mike was in experience, man. He was just telling me, man, how he’s just appreciated for love and compassion right now, man. He really tapped into his family and it is the Zen Mike right now.
AllHipHop: Yeah. Well, give people a little quick nugget about the show and what you want them to walk away with or expect to see.
Nick Cannon: Man, inspiration. It’s that big drive energy. What drives you day-to-day. It’s fun. You know what I mean? Hopefully we give you those tidbits of inspiration, but at the same time it’s shareable content, it’s stuff that you can relate to by hearing some of the stories from some entertainers, from everyone from Lil Durk, Snoop Dogg, NLE Choppa, Mike Tyson. It’s just really just riding around with the homies.
AllHipHop: That’s what’s up, man. Well, appreciate you brother, and I wish you much more success.
Nick Cannon: Likewise.
