Phat Geez prominent Philadelphia rapper got killed this morning
Phat Geez is a veteran on the Philadelphia rap scene. Currently, a lot of attention is being given to the city of Philly. Much of this is due to Meek Mill and Akademiks engaging in a back-and-forth. Last night, the topic of violence came up. While Meek is receiving much backlash, he’s right about people needing to come together. Unfortunately, hours later, Meek confirmed news of Phat Geez’s life being taken.
Phat Geez, himself, has discussed the Philadelphia scene, and violence. As a result, he’s done interviews discussing Meek Mill. As previously mentioned, Meek is in the middle of this situation with Akademiks, which has led to a lot of commentary. People are speaking against Meek, but he’s right in his talk about anti violence.
Phat Geez was literally a part of the anti-violence movement. His most recent single was called “No Gunzone.” In addition to the single, he did a freestyle for the track. Early on March 18, 2024, there are reports of his passing. This news was confirmed by Meek Mill. While nothing is backing these claims up, the hints from social media are indicating he was the victim of a shooting.
