It’s another food recall and this time it’s from a brand that near and dear to my heart. Cereal and granola bars from Quaker Oats.
This does not include literally everything Quaker has. Several items are safe from this specific recall but it’s nice to know what you have and what’s safe, especially if you went shopping recently for some of these items.
Especially when there’s possible salmonella contamination involved.
From Quaker’s website:
On January 11, 2024 the Quaker Oats Company announced an expansion of the recall to include additional cereals and bars.
This recall includes Quaker Chewy Granola Bars and Cereals, Cap’n Crunch Bars and select Cereals, Gamesa Marias Cereal, Gatorade Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars, Munchies Munch Mix and Snack Boxes that include these products.
This goes for just about all of their chewy granola bars as well as some of the oatmeal and Quaker cereals including the newer Quaker granola breakfast cereals.
This also includes some (not all) of the Cap’n Crunch cereals like Cap’n Crunch Oops All Berries cereal and the new Cinnamon Cap’n Crunch as well as Sea Berry Crunch cereals.
The official website will list which products specifically and what to watch out for if those should be returned for a full refund or replaced.
LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments
Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture’s biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
