NEW ORLEANS (press release) – New Orleans rapper and bounce artist Qween Qweezy debuted “Bounce Fah Me,” her first bounce EP on Feb. 28 on all streaming platforms. The new EP includes eight energizing and catchy bounce hits that pay homage to the old-school New Orleans sound with a modern, hip-hop spin.
“Bounce Fah Me” features New Orleans music artists like Allay Earhart, Dino BTW, P3rk, Big Lee Lee and Calliope Bub. The booming EP is like a gumbo pot of raunchy lyrics, rump-shaking beats and stories about Qweezy’s journey to breaking through the cutthroat rap industry.
“This bounce music chose me, I didn’t choose it,” said Qweezy. “I wanted to be on some hip-hop shit, but it didn’t go that way and I’m grateful.”
Qweezy grew up in the rap industry. As the daughter of Cash Money Records’ Ms. Tee, a New Orleans bounce and R&B legend, the 29-year-old always knew she wanted to follow her mother’s footsteps and pursue her dreams of becoming a music artist. Since 2018, Qweezy has been releasing freestyle mixes, music videos and singles showcasing her lyrical talent, unique voice and commanding stage presence.
Her 2023 bounce song “Never Ever Ever” featuring Big Lee Lee climbed up the TikTok charts last year. Hundreds of content creators made videos using the audio and received thousands of likes. Qweezy expects the same excitement for her upcoming bounce EP release this February.
