Snoop Dogg has been praised by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian for being one of the earlier investors in the online platform.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) with a photo of himself and the legendary rapper on Sunday (May 5), Ohanian, who is married to Serena Williams, gave the Long Beach MC his flowers for believing in the product back when most people didn’t.
“Beautiful day in LA. I appreciate this city so much. Got to catch up with a lot of friends. Some of you may know @SnoopDogg was one of our earliest investors at @reddit during our spin-out & turnaround,” he wrote.
“Very few people wanted to invest in us back then. Snoop did. And ya never for get your Day Ones.”

In other news, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre recently joined forces for a short film to promote their new alcoholic beverage Gin & Juice, named after the classic song of the same name.
In the Prohibition era-themed clip, both rap veterans explore the “origins” of the drink, taking viewers back to the 1930s, when the intoxicating combination was born.
The cinematic visual also stars actress Nicola Peltz Beckham and country singer Hardy, while the two Hip Hop icons play gun-toting bootleggers.
The short film also features Hardy’s country-themed remix of Snoop’s 1993 hit, which, like the original, was produced Dre.
In a press release, Hardy said: “The entire ‘Gin & Juice’ process has been a dream for me. I recorded the song and in a few short weeks I was on set with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. It didn’t feel real until I showed up and I saw the names on the trailers.
“I spent two days with them and I can honestly say they are two of the coolest, most genuine people and they made me feel right at home. I am so thankful for the experience and I’m looking forward to hanging with those guys again.”
Hardy previously explained how the song came together, saying: “A while back, I got a phone call saying that Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg would like for me to record my own version of ‘Gin and Juice’ for the launch of their new drink, Gin & Juice.
“I’m still in disbelief, but I am so stoked that I’m dropping my version of ‘Gin and Juice’ with the blessing of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg themselves. Thankful for the opportunity.”
