The court chaos in the Young Thug / YSL proceedings continues. The judge who was just appointed to the case has also recused herself.

As spotted on Rolling Stone Magazine the trial will most likely face even more delays. Earlier this week Judge Ural Glanville was removed over a private meeting he hosted with the prosecutors and a state witness.

The defendant’s lawyers were not invited to the session thus it created concern that Glanville was not being impartial. Glanville was promptly replaced by Judge Shakura L. Ingram but on Wednesday, July 17 she willingly removed herself from the case admitting she has a connection to her former courthouse deputy.

“Because this court’s former assigned deputy could be called as a witness in any future proceedings in this case, the court may be called upon to assess this deputy’s credibility, or rule on matters related to her criminal prosecution,” Ingram wrote in the filing to recuse herself.

“This may undermine the public’s confidence in the impartiality of the proceedings. The clerk of this court is directed to reassign this criminal action to another judge.” Akeiba Stanley, the former courthouse deputy, had a romantic relationship with one of the co-defendants in the case. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Stanley would visit Christian Eppinger in his cell and conspire with his relatives to bring him contraband.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker has now been assigned to the Young Thug / YSL RICO Trial.
