Complex, Takashi Murakami, and MLB have officially announced the launch of the Takashi Murakami x MLB Tokyo Series collection, set to drop on March 7, 2025. This marks the celebrated Japanese artist’s most extensive collaboration with Major League Baseball to date, bringing his signature vibrant designs to an array of exclusive merchandise and memorabilia.
Created in honor of the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series, the collection pays tribute to two historic franchises—the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs. Fans can expect a wide range of MLB gear, including Nike MLB t-shirts and hoodies, official Nike MLB Limited jerseys, New Era 59FIFTY fitted caps, knit and adjustable hats, Topps trading cards, Rawlings® baseballs and gloves, Victus bats, totes, keychains, and more.

Murakami’s distinctive floral artwork will be featured on individual player Nike MLB Limited jerseys for some of the biggest stars in baseball. The Dodgers lineup includes Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman, while the Cubs roster features Shota Imanaga, Seiya Suzuki, and Dansby Swanson.
One of the standout pieces of the collection is the 2025 Topps x Murakami MLB Tokyo Series Matchup Set, an exclusive 25-card set available only through Complex Shop. The set features Murakami’s artwork celebrating top players from both the Cubs and Dodgers and includes rare parallels and autographs. The ultimate chase card? A one-of-one dual-autograph card signed by Murakami and Ohtani—a true collector’s gem.
The collection officially launches March 7, kicking off with immersive and shoppable events in Los Angeles and Japan. With Murakami’s signature touch, this collaboration promises to be a must-have for baseball fans, art lovers, and collectors alike.
