Post Malone has the No. 1 song in the country for the second week in a row with his new single, “I Had Some Help.”
The Morgan Wallen-assisted country jam topped the Billboard Hot 100 once again for the chart dated Tuesday (May 28). But also holding steady is Kendrick Lamar‘s Drake diss “Not Like Us,” which remains at No. 2 for a second week as well following its No. 1 debut.
It remains No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, however, as well as the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
It’s been a great year for Posty, who last month became a part of history thanks to his appearance on Taylor Swift‘s album.
The Tortured Poets Society surpassed 300 million streams in its first day of release alone. One of the songs on the album, “Fortnight,” which features Malone, debuted at No. 1 with 25.2 million streams, surpassing the previous record set by Adele’s “Easy on Me,” and making it the biggest single-day song streaming hit in Spotify history.
The song currently sits at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, making for two songs the “White Iverson” singer has on the Top 10.
Beyoncé also joined forces with Post Malone this year on a country song named “Levii’s Jeans,” which lives on her recent Cowboy Carter album. That song too was a success – with the reference actually giving Levi Strauss & Co. a massive push.
Soon after Cowboy Carter dropped in March, the American clothing company altered its Instagram name to mirror the aforementioned song title. According to CBS News, their stock spiked by 20% on April 4.
“I would just say that denim is having a moment and the Levi’s brand is having a powerful moment around the world,” chief executive officer Michelle Gass said.
“One of the things that really is significant about the Levi’s brand and we place a lot of emphasis and investment is making sure that Levi’s brand remains in the center of culture. And I don’t think there’s any better evidence or proof point than having someone like Beyoncé, who is a culture shaper, to actually name a song after us.”
